TCEQ Commissioners Scheduled to Act on the 130 Environmental Park Permit

July 31, 2017

LOCKHART, TX – July 31, 2017 – 130 Environmental Park, LLC announced it has reached another milestone in connection with its solid waste disposal facility planned for Caldwell County, Texas.   The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Commissioners have scheduled presentations and action on the draft permit for their September 6, 2017 meeting.

After almost a four-year process, including public meetings, TCEQ staff administrative and technical review, and a two-week trial held by the SOAH Administrative Law Judges (ALJs) the TCEQ Executive Director and ALJs have recommended approval of the landfill permit for the 130 Environmental Park facility. TCEQ previously approved the authorization for a transfer station at the facility.

“It is gratifying to get to this stage in the process with the acknowledgment by the TCEQ staff and the ALJs that we have met the permitting standards for the project,” said David Green, President of 130 Environmental Park, LLC.  “The review has been transparent with all interested parties having multiple opportunities to participate and we look forward to the Commissioners’ action.”
